The Inspiration Behind the Name
At just six years old, Etta may not be handling property sales just yet, but she is the heart and soul of our business. With her in mind we created a brand that is built on the values and principles of family.
Etta reminds us that every home sold isn’t just a transaction, but a new chapter for a family, a couple, or an individual. She loves stories as much as we do which is why our focus is on celebrating these with each of our clients. She gets excited seeing her name on the boards and often offers her own (very creative!) thoughts on what she likes most about the homes we sell.

James
Father & Founder
With over 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the local property market, James has built a reputation for honest advice, expert negotiation, and a personalised approach to selling homes. Having worked in the local area for over two decades, 10 of which at director level, he has an in-depth understanding of the local market and understands what makes this area so special for many.
Having started his agency journey in 2003 James has successfully helped his clients navigate many different property markets. James’ passion for property is matched by his energy and commitment to ensuring he delivers the service he believes every seller should receive.
“I founded Etta James as I’m simply a dad that wants to make his daughter proud. I have seen how estate agency has become focused on offering a conveyor belt service to the public where people have become another number in the office. The heart behind the service was being lost and to the client’s cost. Etta James is a business that has fun doing what it does and does it better than everyone else. We want our clients to feel supported, valued and included in what is possibly the biggest financial decision of their lives and that of their family. We want to hear their story and celebrate that with them on their selling journey”
